Pitchfork give Saint Etienne a BNM shout-out!

Though I don’t have anything specific to link to or embed, the fact that Pitchfork saw fit to give a Best New Music tag to the fancy deluxe reissues of two of my alltime favorite albums, by one of my alltime favorite bands: Saint Etienne. The reissues are 1991’s Foxbase Alpha, and the excellent Continental, which was a Japan-only b-side/rarity collection when it hit the streets back in 1997. Aside from the demos added to these reissues, I already have all of the other tracks by virtue of owning “Boxette” and .. well, being a bit of an Et completist.
